Pharmacology
Pharmacology, which is a branch of science that examines the interactions between drugs and biological systems in the process from the production of drugs to their use, is a multidisciplinary field of study. The effects of drugs, mechanisms of action, their use in treatment, development of new drugs, rational drug use, drug interactions, side and toxic effects of drugs, examination of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic profiles, pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance activities are among the study areas of pharmacology. Pharmacology, in silico, in vitro and in vivo studies are carried out in cooperation with many sub and auxiliary branches. Our aim in pharmacology education is to provide basic theoretical knowledge about pharmacology and drug concept, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug interactions, rational drug use, drug effects and toxicities. It is essential to understand the nature of the discipline of Pharmacology in order to be more effective in the field of drug development in the future and to be able to work together with other disciplines such as Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technology and Biotechnology and other disciplines such as biomedical sciences, chemistry, physiology, pathology, molecular and cell biology and immunology.
