Department of Pharmaceutical Technology

Pharmaceutical Technology is a branch of science that investigates the scientific principles of the design of natural, semi-synthetic and synthetic active substances into pharmaceutical drug forms and deals with industrial and clinical applications. Research areas of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology: Formulation design and optimisation techniques of solid dosage forms, parenteral drugs, dispersed, carrier, semi-solid, controlled release, transdermal drug delivery, bioadhesive, ocular drug delivery, targeted drug delivery systems containing anticancer or peptide/protein drugs, and stability studies, drug carrier systems used in veterinary medicine, pharmaceutical industry and patent studies, quality in pharmaceutical industry, quality assurance, validation, ISO standards and certification, bioavailability, bioequivalence and drug-medical device combination products.
